and then return as part of the next page. A cut transition makes
the title appear to remain on screen even though a different page
is displayed.
Setting this page for infinite duration lets you control the exact
moment at which you want to remove it from the screen and go
on to the next page. We use it here so that you can roll the input
video tape then remove the page so that only the video shows.
You could do this with a timed duration, but you would not have
manual control of the process. Normally, video tapes have several
seconds of blank footage at the beginning. By determining exactly
how far into the tape your footage begins, you can time the exit of
this page to that point on the tape. You used the same basic
method when setting up page one of this project.
11 Press
EFFECTS/OUT to display the Effects Out menu, then
highlight the square out transition icon.
12 Set the transition speed to 1 (slowest), then press
NEW LINE
OK.

CREATE PAGE FOUR
Page four is blank with a video (or, transparent) back-
ground. The incoming video footage plays on the
screen with no other effects — that is, it plays just as
though you were viewing it on a video monitor.
1 Position the cursor after the very last character (the digit 7)
on page three, then press
NEW PAGE.
Once again, note that the new page receives its attributes from the
preceding page (page three in this case).
