If using a PNP encoder or a PNP Signal as encoder the encoder input must be pulled to
GND with an 1KOhm resistor.
The resistor must be for min.1W and the load is about 25mA.

When using the splitter cable are both inputs / outputs clearly separated.
The output is on a socket on PIN4 (see Fig.48).
