ASSEMBLY AND ADJUSTMENT
Pinion gear shim
1. Assembly the shimming gauge with the
drive shaft and bearing as shown in the
illustration.
NOTE:
Using four bolts of the following dimen-
sions, install the adapter plate (YB-34432-
10) on the gauge base (YB-34432-11).
Gauge block:
YB-34432-16
Gauge base:
YB-34432-11
Adapter plate:
YB-34432-10
Clamp:
YB-34432-17
Thickness gauge:
YU-26900-9
2. Install the pinion on the drive shaft, and
tighten the nut to the specified torque.
3. Measure the measured value (M)
between the pinion as shown.

50 Nm (5.0 m • kgf, 36 ft • lb)
Available shim thicknesses:
0.05, 0.08, 0.12, 0.30, and 0.50
