Reverse gear shim
1. Put shimming plate on the reverse gear.
NOTE:
Remove O-ring placed below thrust washer
before the measurement.
2. Using the digital caliper, measure the
Mv2 (measurement value of between
the tops of the thrust washer and shim-
ming plate).
Shimming plate:
90890-06701
Digital caliper:
90890-06704
3. Use the following equation to calculate
the reverse gear shim thickness (T2).
NOTE:
If the R value is negative (–), then add the R
value to the measurement.
Shim thickness (T2) =
Mv2 – 26.0 – R/100 (unit: mm)
Available shim thicknesses:
0.05, 0.08, 0.12, 0.30, and 0.50
