ANODE
Inspect the anode. If it is worn out, replace
it with a new one. If scaling of the surface is
evident, remove the anode and clean it with
a wire brush, and remove all trace of oil or
grease. After cleaning, polish the contact
surfaces of the anode mount, and re-install.
CAUTION:
Never paint the anode. To ensure good
electrical contact, keep the anode contact
surface clean of oil or grease.
