Forward gear shim
1. Put bearing inner race on the shimming
plate and then put outer race on it.
2. Using the digital caliper, measure the
Mv1 (measurement value of the bearing
outer race height).
NOTE:
Make measurement after turning outer race
several times.
Shimming plate:
90890-06701
Digital caliper:
90890-06704
3. Use the following equation to calculate
the forward gear shim thickness (T1).
NOTE:
If the F value is negative (–), then subtract
the F value from the measurement.
Shim thickness (T1) =
16.6 – Mv1 + F/100 (unit: mm)
Available shim thicknesses:
0.05, 0.08, 0.12, 0.30, and 0.50
