The following table describes the labels in this screen.
9.6 GRE Tunnel
GRE (Generic Routing Encapsulation) is a tunneling protocol used to create a virtual point-to-point link
between two networks to transport multicast, broadcast and non-IP packets like IPX. In the example
below, GRE establishes a private connection between the Zyxel Device (ZD) and remote router (RR)
over an IPv4 network. At the time of writing, the Zyxel Device only supports GRE tunneling in IPv4
networks.
Note: The GRE tunnel must also be configured on the remote router (RR).

LABEL DESCRIPTION
Option ID Enter the option ID for the additional configuration that DHCP clients can receive from a
DHCP server. For example, enter ‘6’ for DNS server configuration.
Option Context Enter additional configuration details. For example, for DHCP option 6, enter the DNS server IP
address.
You can enter up to 257 printable characters except [ " ], [ ` ], [ ' ], [ < ], [ > ], [ ^ ], [ $ ], [ | ], [
& ], or [ ; ].
Service Name Select an interface group from the drop-down list. The Zyxel Device will add this DHCP option
to DHCP packets sent on the selected service interface group.
You can configure interface groups in the Network Setting > Interface Grouping screen.
Cancel Click Cancel to not save your settings and return to the previous screen.
OK Click OK to save your changes and return to the previous screen.
