8 Allow 5 minutes to pass. Record the final time and pressure
values in Table 16. Carefully close the lid of the sampler so
the sample probe enters the leak test vial.
A pressure decay of more than 2 psi over 5 minutes indicates a
leak. If there is a leak, call an Agilent service representative. Fix
any leaks before continuing the leak test.
Pressure decay test part 3: Inject mode
This pressure decay test checks for leaks in inject mode.
Perform the following steps to run the pressure decay test:
1 Open the shutoff valves on the back of the Headspace
Sampler.
2 Wait 5 minutes for the flow paths to pressurize and
equilibrate.
3 Turn off the shutoff valves on the back of the Headspace
Sampler.
4 Print Table 17. Record the time and initial pressure values in
the table.
