Read the following safety information before installing the ONT.
Procedure
Use this procedure to install a B-2404-P.
1 Prepare the cables at the site where the B-2404-P will be installed (DLP 100). Also,
locate the power source where the power converter will be installed.
2 Are any of the cables missing?
a If yes, go to step 3.
b If no, go to step 4.
3 Locate each missing cable and route them to the B-2404-P as per local practices.
4 Review the connection locations, as shown in Figure NTP 106-1.
Danger 1 — Contact the local utility company before you connect the
B-2404-P to the utilities.
Danger 2 — Observe the local and national laws and regulations that
may be applicable to this installation.
Warning — This equipment is ESD sensitive. Proper ESD protections
should be used when connecting or removing the fiber optic cable.
Caution — Keep out of direct sunlight. Prolonged exposure to direct
sunlight can damage the B-2404-P.
Note — Observe the following:
• The B-2404-P business ONT should be installed in accordance with
the applicable requirements of the NEC or CEC. Local authorities and
practices take precedent when there is conflict between the local
standard and the NEC or CEC.
• The B-2404-P business ONT must be installed by qualified service
personnel.
• See the detailed specifications in the B-2404-P detailed
specifications for the temperature ranges for this ONT.
