3 Replace the ONT with a new unit:
a On a flat surface, such as a desk, substitute a replacement ONT for the old
ONT; go to step 4.
b On a wall.
i Slide the old ONT off of the mounting screws until the ONT is free of the
wall.
ii Install the replacement ONT following the wall mounting instructions
for an I-011G-P indoor ONT (DLP 122).
4 Connect the Ethernet cable to the RJ-45 port (DLP 101).
5 Connect the coaxial cable to the F-Type connector (DLP 116).
6 If required, have approved service personnel who are trained to work with optic
fiber clean the fiber optic connection. See DLP 134 for more information about
fiber optic handling, inspection, and cleaning.
7 Connect the fiber optic cable to the SC/APC connector on the ONT (DLP 125).
8 Connect the power cable with an AC/DC adapter to the ONT unit power connector;
as shown in Figure NTP 140-1.
Danger — Fiber optic cables transmit invisible laser light. To avoid eye
damage or blindness, never look directly into fibers, connectors, or
adapters.
Warning — Be careful to maintain a bend radius of no less than 1.18
inches (3.0 cm) when connecting the fiber optic cable. A bend radius in
the cable that is too small can damage the optic fiber.
