SPARK OFF – No First Spark Detection
NOTE: Lower the electrode until it touches the workpiece or the first spark occurs. This
is the zero position.
5. Press the Z-axis key to zero the axis display.
6. Press to activate EDM Mode.
q Axis 1 display now indicates the distance to the target depth.
q Axis 2 display indicates the target depth.
q Z-axis display indicates the actual Z-position relative to the zero position.
7. Start the sparking cycle.
8. Press to toggle between EDM
Mode and X-, Y-, and Z-axis
display mode.
9. Terminate the sparking cycle when the Axis 1 display indicates zero and the Z-axis
display equals the Target Z-Depth displayed in the Axis 2 display.
10. Press to exit EDM Mode.
