First Spark Detection Setup (900E Only) – F 46
F 46 allows you to define how you activate the EDM Mode. It can be either manually
activated or automatically activated if the DRO receives a signal from a first spark
detector. The position at which the first spark occurs is the Zero position.
1. Press to select the feature.
The DRO displays the following in the message window:
Spark off

The available options are:
q SPARK OFF No First Spark Detection
q SPARK MAN Manual First Spark Detection
q SPARK AUTO Automatic First Spark Detection
SPARK OFF SPARK MAN SPARK AUTO

EDM Display Mode Manual Manual Automatic
Z Depth Guard Manual Automatic Automatic
Spark Out Manual Automatic Automatic
SparkArrest

No Automatic Automatic
NOTE: Automatic first spark detection requires a sensor input.
NOTE: Automatic features require that you set up Relay 1 and Relay 2.
3. Press to select the desired option.
4. Position the electrode in the desired X and Y positions.
