Earth Lift Switch
The Earth Lift switch is provided to allow removal of the mains earth from the signal circuits.
This may be required in order to eliminate ground loops between connected equipment.
Possible settings: DOWN (
, ON) or UP ( , OFF)
It is normally set to DOWN (
, ON) unless a +ve ground battery system is used, or it is
necessary to avoid a ground loop
problem; see Section “5.4 Avoiding Ground Loop Problems”
(page 58).
