6.3.1.9 Collating DVA Filenames to a USB Memory Stick
A file containing the filenames of all DVA messages stored in the /dva/msgs directory and all sub-
directories can be created on a USB memory stick.
To Collate the DVA Filenames to a USB Memory Stick:
1. Plug a USB memory stick into one of the available USB ports on the iPAM400 rear panel.
2. Run the Setup Tool as follows, if not already running.
a. Connect to the iPAM400 either remotely or locally, as described in Section “6.2 Connecting to
the iPAM400” (page 59).
b. Run the Setup Tool by entering the following command: /dva/bin/vipet_setup
3. Choose the “File Management” from the main menu by entering “6”.
4. Choose the “Collate DVA filenames to USB flash drive” by entering “3”.
5. A directory named after the iPAM400 host name will be created in the root of the attached USB
memory stick and a file named ‘msgs’ will be created in that directory.
This file will contain a list of filenames of all DVA messages that are stored in the /dva/msgs
directory and all sub-directories.
6. If no further tasks are to be performed, then return to the main menu (if not already done) and enter
“X” to exit the Setup Tool.
