2. In the Backup dialog box, select the folder where save the downloaded file and type the name of
the file in the Name text box. Then, click Save.
3. In the Backup dialog box, the Backup File text box shows the selected full path that leads to the
Focus Backup File. Click Save.
5.4.1.3.2 Performing Restore / Update
NOTE: For both the Stations, it is highly recommended to clean the system before restoring
the backup(s).
To clean the system before restoring the backup(s), do the following:
1. In the Device Files area, click Memory.
2. Click Delete objects to delete Jobs, Events, identifiers, Accessories stored in the
Focus 61 memory.
3. Remove all the wrenches.
To perform the restore/update of the Focus 61, do the following:
1. On the Tools menu, click Backup/Restore > Restore/Update.
2. In the Update/Restore dialog box, click the folder icon.
3. In the Open dialog box, select either the Focus Backup File or the Firmware Upgrade File. Then,
click Open.
NOTE: For the Focus Backup File, open the drop down list box on the right of the File
name text box and select Focus Backup File (*.fbk).
For the Firmware Upgrade File (sent by manufacturer to upgrade the Focus 61), open
the drop down list box on the right of the File name text box and select Firmware
Upgrade File (*.ud).
4. In the Update/Restore dialog box, select the necessary Update Types. Then, click Update.
At the end of the update procedure, the settings are saved. The changes will be applied during the next
reboot. The Ethernet configuration will be restored too.
NOTE: Before rebooting, it is highly recommended to do the following:
1. In the Device Files area, click Network Adapters.
2. Select/confirm the correct Ethernet configuration.
