Updating the A640 Firmware
The rmware update process resets the A640 and clears all user settings and preset data. It is a
good idea to back up the current state of the A640 as a conguration as part of the update process
to preserve your current mixes and user preferences. The rmware update process includes an
opportunity to save all current settings.
Updating the A640 rmware disables all audio and mixing functions until the process is complete.
To update the A640 rmware:
Select the Check for A640 Updates option from the File Transfer window by scrolling with
either encoder knob.
Press either encoder button to activate it.
The A640 searches the USB storage device for a valid rmware le that is newer than what
is currently installed.
No Yes
A rmware update is available.
Perform an update?
Choose Yes to continue the rmware update.
If new rmware is found, choose YeS to continue and install the update or choose no to
exit without updating the A640’s rmware.
If you answer Yes to continue the rmware update process you are given the opportunity
to save the current user settings and mix presets in the A640 as a conguration.

All settings and presets will be reset.

Choose Yes to save a conguration le.
Click YeS to continue the process of saving the A640 settings.
