Custom functions
Custom functions allow you to combine multiple functions into a single function. Assign
custom functions to a keypad Shortcut so that the users can easily run the function from the
keypad.
The user must have the appropriate authority level enabled to use the custom function.
For more information, refer to RPS Help or to the Installer Services Portal programming tool
(available in Europe, Middle East, Africa, and China) Help.
9.1.4 Address settings
The control panel uses the keypad’s address setting for communication and bus supervision.
If multiple keypads reside on the same system, each keypad must have a unique address even
when on different buses.
B94x/B93x/B92x keypads
B93x and B92x keypads use two hardware address switches. The B94x keypads use two
virtual (on-screen) switches that mimic the hardware switches. For single-digit addresses 1
through 9, set the tens switch to 0. The figure shows the keypad switches set to 1:
9.1.5 Supervision
The control panel supervises all enabled SDI2 keypads.
If the control panel does not receive an expected response from a keypad, all keypads in the
system show a missing keypad error. You can configure the control panel to sends a keypad
missing report to the central station.
9.1.6 Installation and control panel wiring (keypads)
Calculate power consumption
Make sure that there is enough power for the module and the other powered devices that you
want to connect to the system.
Refer to On-board outputs, page 49.
Installing a keypad
1. Open the keypad.
2. Set the keypad address using the address switches
3. Use the provided anchors and screws to mount the keypad base on the wall.
4. Pull the necessary wiring through the mounting plate. Refer to Wire to the control panel,
page 44.
5. Install the keypad on the base.

Installation notes
Connect SDI2 keypads to the SDI2 bus by parallel wire run from the control panel to each
keypad, wire from keypad to keypad, or a combination of the two. Use a maximum of 7500 ft
(2286 m) of 22 AWG (0.65 mm) wire for all devices connected to the SDI2 bus combined.
