6.2.5 Configuration of Recorder
There are three ways to configure the recorder. They are listed as below.
1. On the Recorder
2. Software via Ethernet port
3. Removable media
6.2.5.1 On the Recorder
It is possible to configure the recorder directly on the device using the touch screen interface.
Press (Menu), then More and then Config soft key to enter Configuration mode. The user can
directly configure all the parameters on this page. Refer chapter 5 for more details.
6.2.5.2 Software via Ethernet port
The below steps to be followed to configure via software using Ethernet port of the recorder.
1. Connect Recorder to PC via cross over or straight Ethernet cable
2. Check IP address of PC. Make sure to set IP address of Recorder in the same domain as
PC
For ex: IP address of PC: 192.168.0.200
IP address of Recorder: 192.168.0.11
3. Use “Ping” from DOS command prompt and check the communication quality. If there is no
response, check the cable or IP address configuration of PC or IP address configuration of
the recorder
4. Double click the historical viewer icon at desktop and follow on-screen instructions to
create a new project.
