Acquiring Images
Starting the Imaging Software
Open your Imaging Software.
1 On your desktop, double-click the Imaging Software icon or click Start > All Programs > ( the name of
your) Dental Imaging Software.
2 Create or open an existing patient record.
Creating a Patient Record
The following instructions are general and vary according to your imaging software. For more information,
see the User Guide of your Dental Imaging Software.
To create a new patient record (or card), follow these steps:
1 In the Patient Window, from the toolbar, click the New icon, OR from the menu bar, select Patient >
New.
2 Enter the required patient information, such as:
• Last name
• First name
• Date of birth
• Identification Number
3 Click OK
Opening the Image Acquisition Interface
1 Click the Imaging window icon. (Alternatively, double-click the selected patient name.)
The patient’s imaging window opens.
2 To access the Image Acquisition Interface, select one of the following two modes:
• CS 7600 FMS mode (Template mode), examples of the icons
• CS 7600 image Acquisition mode, examples of the icons
3 To change the scanning resolution for this exam acquisition (for non Scan & Go configurations), go to
the scanner resolution setting (see page 57).
• If you are using Scan & Go, verify that the Scan & Go device is connected (see “Scan & Go Status”
on page 16).
Note: Keep the image Acquisition interface open throughout your exam
acquisition session: close it only after you have completed scanning and
optimizing all images.
