Electrical Installation
Make Ethernet Cable (Optional)
crossover cable can be used to directly connect the Access Navigator to a laptop computer
with Ethernet port and Telnet software.

To make a straight Ethernet cable, perform the following steps (see Figure 6-11).
Follow standard practices for Ethernet connections.
Use RJ45 connectors.
Use cable rated for Category 3 (CAT3) or better.
Use straight cable wiring, with identical pin connections on both plug ends.
Use twisted pair wires for receive pair and transmit pair.
Use continuity tester to verify pin connections.
