Start Management Session
Obtain Information

NOTE: User names and passwords are not required until security features are
activated.
Obtain office records with the following information:
User name (if required)
Password (if required)
Connect RS-232 Cable to Access Navigator
1. If you already have an RS-232 cable connection to the Access Navigator, go to step Step
2. Connect RS-232 DCE-to-DTE cable with 9-pin DE9 (DB9) connector on one end to RS-232 CLI
management connector on rear panel of Access Navigator (see Figure 7-1).
3. Connect other end of RS-232 cable to computer or craft terminal.

Set Up Terminal Program
Configure computer terminal emulation software, or craft terminal, as follows:
Terminal emulation: ANSI, ASCII, or VT100
Flow control: None
Send mode: Echo characters locally
Baud rate: 9600
Data bits: 8
Parity: None
Stop bits: 1
