The Access Navigator provides full 1/0 Digital Crossconnect System (DCS) functionality. DS0s from any
DS1 can be crossconnected to another DS1. This permits more efficient DS1 usage through grooming and
filling DS1s, a process in which DS0s in “drop” DS1s from multiple subscriber lines are cross-connected to
fill up the network “groom” DS1s.
