18-40 August 2003 Access Navigator - Release 1.8
CLI Language Reference
CLI Command List
Log BERT
Purpose: Displays BERT (bit error rate test) events, which are stored in a BERT log file that
holds the most recent 200 error reports. The Access Navigator records BERT events
whenever a BER test pattern is present and bit errors occur during any one-second
measurement interval. The BERT log file will be erased by a power interruption,
clear bert log command, reset command, or restore defaults command.
NOTE: The Access Navigator’s internal Bit Error Rate Testers (BERTs) are
always monitoring the DS1 inputs. Anytime a BER test pattern is present,
whether internally or externally generated, the bit errors will be recorded in the
BERT log.
Security: Level 3 (monitor)
