NOTICE:Replacefuelpre-lterwhenthetextmessageFUELFILTERappearsonthedisplay.Theltercouldbe
cloggedearlierthan500hdependingonthefuelqualityandotherconditions.
NOTICE:Donotworkinanyenvironmentinwhichanythingotherthanfuelwillgetintofuellines.(Siteswithstrong
wind,blowingdust,etc.).Washhandsbeforeoperations.Donotusegloves.Donotopenthepackagingforthelter
kituntilyoustarttheinstallationwork.Donotreuseanyfuelremainingwithinthecover.Forpersistentdirtwithinthe
cover,wipeitoffwithacleanrag,thencleanwithcleandieselfuel.Donotusepartscleanerbecauseitcouldaffect
thecasecover.Donottouchtheinsideoftheelement.Completelywipeoffanyspilledfuelafterchangingthelter
element.
NOTICE:UseoffuelltersotherthanCASECONSTRUCTIONgenuinecomponents,isprohibited.
1.Placeacontainerwithanappropriatecapacityunder
thepre-lter.
2.Closethevalveofthefuelpre-lter.
3.Loosenthedrainplug(1),theairbleedscrew(2),and
drainfromthepre-lter.
4.Cleantheareaaroundthepre-lterbody,andthenre-
moveitwiththespecicwrenchsuppliedwiththema-
chine.
5.Installanewlterelement.Replacethesealonthe
pre-lterbody,andtheninstallthebodyonthepre-lter
headbyturningitmanually.
NOTICE:neverllthepre-lterbodywithfuelbeforethe
installation.

6.Tightenthebodywiththespecicwrench.Thetighten-
ingtorquemustbe28–32N·m(20.65–23.60lbft)
7.Replacethesealofthedrainplug(1),andattachthe
drainplug(1).Thetighteningtorquemustbe2–3N·m
(1.48–2.21lbft).
NOTE:Neverreusethesealofthelterbodyandtheseal
ofthedrainplug(1).Theyshallalwaysbereplacedwith
newseals.
8.Tightentheairbleedscrew(2).Thetighteningtorque
mustbe7.9–11.7N·m(5.8–8.6lbft).
NOTICE:Overtighteningcandamagetheseals.
9.Bleedthefuelsystem.Refertopage6-11.
