Thehandrailonthetopofthefueltankcanbefoldedinordertodecreasetheoverallheightofthemachineintransport
conguration.
Thehandrailonthetopofthefueltankshallbesetandxedinthehorizontalpositiononlybeforeatransportoperation.
Asthetransportoperationhasbeencompleted,thehandrailshallbereadilysetandxedintheverticalposition.
NOTICE:Withthehandrailinhorizontalposition,thefuel
tank,thehydraulictank,andtheenginecompartmentcan-
notbesafelyreached.Makesuretosetthehandrail
inverticalpositionforanymachineoperationotherthan
transportinordertoallowasafeandreadyaccesstothe
fueltank,tothehydraulictank,andtotheenginecom-
partment.

Tofoldthehandrail,proceedasfollows:
1.Accesstheladderontheright-frontofthemachine.
2.Removethebolts(1)andfoldthehandrailinthedirec-
tionofthearrow.
NOTICE:Makesuretograbthehandrail(H)whileper-
formingthisoperation.

3.Makesurethatthehandrailisinhorizontalposition.
4.Fixthehandrailbymeansofthebolts(1).
Tosetthehandrailinverticalposition,reversethefolding
procedure.
Makesuretotightenthebolts(1)toatorqueof53.9–
63.7N·m(39.8–47.0lbft).
