Inthefollowingcases,drainagefromthefuelsystem
isrequired:

Thetankhasbecomeemptycompletely.
•
Thefuelpre-lterisreplaced.
•
Thefuellterisreplaced.
•
Thecomponentsofthefuelsystemareremovedfor
serviceorrepair.
•
Themachinehasbeenstoredforquitealongtime.
1.Openthevalveofthefuelpre-lter.

2.Switchthevalveofthefuelmainltertothetankside.

3.Loosentheairbleedscrew(1)ofthefuelmainlter.
4.TurnthestarterkeytoONposition.Donotleavethe
starterkeyintheONpositionfor5minormore,except
forthecasewheredrainageisnotcarriedout.Other-
wise,thefuelfeedpumpmaybecomedamaged.
5.Inordertoreleasethespring,turnthepiston(2)ofthe
primingpumptotheleft.
6.Moveupanddownthehandleoftheprimingpump(2)
untilthefuelthatcontainsnobubblesdrainsfromthe
airbleedscrew(1).

7.Immediatelyafterthefueldrains,tightentheairbleed
screw(1),andtightenthepiston(2)ofthepriming
pump.
Tighteningtorqueoftheairbleedscrew:
7.9–11.7N·m(5.8–8.6lbft).
