Compressorbeltcheck
Thedrivebeltoftheair-conditioningcompressorshall
beperiodicallycheckedinordertogranttheproperop-
erationoftheair-conditioningsystem.
Tocheckthedrivebeltoftheair-conditioningcompres-
sor,proceedasfollows:
1.Stoptheengine,andremovethestarterkey.
2.Inspectthepulleysandthedrivebeltforexcessive
wearordamages.Makesurethatthedrivebeltis
correctlyengagedtothegroovesofthepulleys.
NOTICE:Thedrivebeltshallbereplacedifitis
stretchedorcrackedinordernottoletitwornout.
3.Checkthetensionofthedrivebeltbyapplyingn-
gerpressureofabout10kg(22.0lb)onthepoint
indicatedbytheblackarrow.Looseoftension
shouldbeabout5–7mm(0.2–0.3in).
