Usage Guidelines Filenames and directory names are case sensitive.
Image names are case sensitive.
Examples This example shows how to create a tar file. The command writes the contents of the new-configs
directory on the local flash device to a file named saved.tar on the TFTP server at 172.20.10.30:
Switch# archive tar /create tftp:172.20.10.30/saved.tar flash:/new-configs
This example shows how to display the contents of the cbs31x0-universal-tar.12-40.EX file that is in
flash memory. The contents of the tar file appear on the screen:
Switch# archive tar /table flash:cbs31x0-universal-tar.-12-40.EX.tar
