specifies the Layer 3 interface to configure.

Removes the interface from Layer 2
configuration mode if it is a physical
interface.

Step 3
Configures VRF on the interface.
ip vrf forwarding vrf-name
Example:
Device(config-if)# ip vrf forwarding vpn2
Step 4
Enters the IP address for the interface.
ip address ip-address
Example:
Device(config-if)# ip address 10.1.5.1
Step 5
Enables uRPF on the interface.ip verify unicast reverse-path
Example:
Device(config-if)# ip verify unicast
reverse-path
Step 6
Returns to privileged EXEC mode.end
