Installing the cutterbar variable-speed pulley
assembly (spring-loaded)
Install thrust piece (18) with existing shims (17) and a
thrust washer (16).
(Fig. 93)
Determine the distance (X) between the thrust
piece (18) and the top edge of the pulley.
(Fig. 94, 95)
Slide a thrust washer (16) on the shaft shoulder and
determine dimension (Y, length of shaft shoulder).
W = Y – X
The distance (W) must be 0.2 to 0.6 mm. Should this
not be the case, then correct it with shims.
