15.3 Adjustment of the infeed conveyor side guides
On the surface of the infeed conveyor you will find two side guides (Fig. 15.2 pos. 1) which
guide the product down the infeed conveyor towards the forming box. When the width of the
product is changed the side guides are to be widened as follows:
a) Slightly loosen the black blocking knobs (Fig. 15.2 pos.2)
ATTENTION
Adjust the width of the side guides according to the product width, make sure that
the two side guides are parallel to each other and that they have the same
distance from the center of the infeed conveyor.
b) Make sure that the side guides are parallel between them and that they are never wider
than the width of the forming box wings.
c) Fasten the blocking knobs (Fig. 15.2 pos. 2). To remove the side guides you must loosen
the black knobs (Fig. 15.2 pos. 2), move them towards the back of the infeed conveyor. If
the machine is set up to pack a variety of product heights the machine will be supplied with
more than one set of side guides.
