6.5 Automatic film junction
The initial part of the film must be positioned on the surface for the junction.
Use the scale rod to glue the film in the correct position with the end of the previous film.
See the following instructions:
1) let the film move forward on the surface, until it passes the cutting guide (pos. 1 fig.
6.6), keeping the friction wheel raised (pos. 4 fig. 6.6);
2) cut the film, following the cutting guide (pos. 1 fig. 6.6);
3) apply two strips of glue with the applicator (pos. 2 fig. 6.6);
4) carry the film forward, introducing it into the slot between the safety rod and blow pipe
(Fig. 6.6 pos. 3);
5) lower the anti-friction wheel again;
6) put the selector (Fig. 6.3 pos. 1) in the central position, the red light will switch off and
the green light will switch on.
Now the machine is ready to do the automatic junction of the film when the reel will end.
