ATTENTION
If the machine is equipped with print-registered film detection photocell, carry out
the product timing procedure before loading the product to be wrapped as
described in Chapter 14.
Every time the machine is stopped either by pressing the emergency stop mushroom-head
push-button or opening the Plexiglas safety guard, follow this procedure to start it up again:
o) Release the emergency push-button by turning its upper part in the direction indicated
by the arrows or else close the Plexiglas safety guard that had been opened.
p) Press the "RESET" push-button.
q) Press the "START" push-button. To stop the machine in normal working conditions,
always use the Emergency stop push-button instead of the mushroom-head
pushbutton.
When the machine is stopped with the Stop push-button, just press button Start to restore
operation.
Use the mushroom-head push-button only in cases of danger or in emergency conditions.
18.3 Scheduled maintenance
ATTENTION
Disconnect the main electrical supply to the machine before any maintenance
work is carried out on the machine. Disconnect the main electrical supply by
turning the main door block switch on the back door.
The following points are to be observed and carried out in order to always keep the machine
in good functioning order:
a) Keep the slip rings and brushes of the fin wheels and transverse sealing jaws free from
dirt and grease.
b) Periodically check the brushes and slip rings to make sure they are not worn out.
c) Replace the heaters when they do not heat up efficiently.
d)If the heated set of fin wheels and transverse sealing jaws do not heat up, check to make
sure that the thermocouple is in good order, if not replace it with a new one.
e) To protect the parts that are not in stainless steel or painted, periodically lubricate with
protective oil (Type MOBILE VACTRA N° 2) or with a similar oil.
f) Periodically check the chains or toothed belts, they are to be tightened if loose and if
worn out replace them with new chain. (All the chains and belts fitted on the machines
are high-quality: if used and lubricated correctly, they will last forever).
