6.3 Reel assembly and disassembly
ATENTION
In case the reel weight is over the weight that an operator can lift, use a suitable
means to rise the reel for the assembly or the replacement of the reel.
There is a selector (pos. 1 fig. 6.3), through which you can select the reel you have to
replace.
By turning the selector towards left, you can replace the left reel, vice versa, by turning the
selector towards right, you can replace the right reel.
When the selector is in OFF position, it flashes.
If the selector is in ON position, the reel holder is in function and it won’t be possible to
replace the reel.
a) Turn the selector (pos. 1 fig. 6.3) towards the reel you have to replace.
b) The selector starts flashing. In this position the photocell for the end of film (pos. 2 fig.
6.5) is deactivated and it’s possible to replace the reel.

c) The closure of the plastic jaw of the reel holder is made manually, by acting on the knob
on the shaft of the reel holder (pos. 2 fig. 6.4).
d) After that, introduce the new reel, checking the direction of film unwinding and the
position of the reel through the scale rod (pos. 1 fig. 6.4).
NOTE In order to center the reel, you have to unloose the set-ring-nut (pos.
3 fig. 6.4) and do the adjustment by fasten or unloosen the ring nut (pos. 4 fig.
6.4)
e) Open the plastic jaws of the reel holder by acting on the regulation knob (pos. 2 fig.
6.4).
