16.2 Fixed forming box
This type of forming box so called fixed former (Fig. 16.1.1) is suitable only for one product
dimension. Each product with a different width and / or height that is to be wrapped on the
same machine will require an additional fixed forming box. Products with the same width
and height but different length can be tolerated by the same fixed forming box.
The fixed forming plates which comes in two pieces are fixed to the machine body by four
knobs (Fig. 16.1.1 pos. 1). To change the fixed forming remove these four knobs and
substitute with another size fixed forming box.

16.3 Adjustable forming box
The adjustable forming box is adjustable in height, width in order to adapt to the different
size products. It can also be moved forwards and backwards. These quick adjustments
enable the operator to easily change from one product size to another.
Centering of the adjustable forming box in respect to the machine axis, proceed as
follows:
Loosen the blocking screw and position the center of the adjustable forming box in the
center of the fin wheel axis.
