7.3 Adjustment of the fin wheel pressure

The pressure of the fin wheels is adjusted according to the film thickness and is carried out
as follows:
a) Loosen the nut Fig. 7.4 pos. 1.
b) Loosen the nut Fig. 7.4 pos. 2 to apply more pressure, o fasten the nut to remove
pressure
c) Block the nut Fig. 7.4 pos. 1
To carry out this operation correctly use two 19 mm. Spanners in order to keep hold the nut
Fig. 7.4 pos. 1, in position whilst loosening or fastening the nut Fig. 7.4 pos. 2.
To make sure that the operation has been carried out correctly proceed as follows:
Make sure the fin wheels have reached the desired temperature, insert the film in between
the fin wheels and run the machine, check to make sure that the grooves of the fin seal are
sufficiently profound, if not apply more pressure. If there is too much pressure, and the seal
is undulated remove some pressure until the desired result is achieved.
ATTENTION The following operations must be carried out only by specialized
personnel that have a thorough knowledge of the machine. It is recommended to
contact the local distributor or the manufacturer, before carrying out these
adjustments. The fin wheel pressure is adjusted by specialized technical personnel
at the manufacturer, and it should therefore not be necessary to carry out any
further adjustments.
ATTENTION Before starting the machine make sure the fin wheels have
reached the desired temperature.
