2.5 Designed use and prohibited use
NOTE
The nonobservance of the usage restrictions will be considered as improper use of
the machine. If this occurs, the manufacturer will be freed from any liability in
case of accidents to people or damage to things or to the machine itself. The
machine’s warranty will expire and therefore be no longer be valid.
2.5.1 Designed use conditions
NOTE
The machine was designed and built for the automatic packaging of food and
nonfood products with heat sealing film. Due to the extreme variety of products to
be packed, it is always customized for specific products of clients who specify the
machine’s use upon ordering the purchase of the machine. Any other usage is not
allowed except when authorized in writing by the manufacturer.
ATTENTION
The machine was designed for professional use and the operator must possess
the proper qualifications and be able to read and understand the instructions
for use, and must have been trained and be in the perfect psycho-physical
conditions when using the machine.
Only ONE operator will be assigned to use the machine.
DANGER
The longitudinal and transversal sealing group have parts (sealing wheels and
clamps) that reach elevated temperatures (even 230°C). The operator, before
accessing these parts will have to wait until they have cooled down (about 30
minutes) or will have to wear suitable protective gloves.
Before starting up the machine the operator will ensure that there is nobody stationing in
the vicinity of the machine’s work zone (Z fig. 2.3.1).
Only one operator will be assigned to the job of preparing the machine for production
and he must be qualified and trained (mechanical maintenance technician), with
machine at standstill and in IMPULSE active mode.
Machine cleaning and maintenance will be done only with the electric and pneumatic
power feeds cut off.
The machine’s packaging cycle is carried out in a completely automatic mode, with all the
protection devices close and/or active, without the operator’s intervention.
If the machine does not have an automatic load system, the operator will have to load
the product to be packed from the established work station (PL1 and PL2 stations fig.
2.4.1.1).
When the machine is running, the operator must never introduce bodily parts in the work
zone.
Do not exceed the maximum and minimum packaging dimensions specified in Chapter
3.1 Technical Data.
The machine was designed and built to work in closed facilities and be protected from
atmospheric agents.
The machine must be installed, connected and tested by the manufacturer’s technicians
or those of the commissioner.
