The transverse seal is no good
Make sure the temperature is correct.
Male sure the pressure of the jaw springs is sufficient, if necessary adjust the pressure of
the jaws by acting on the nuts.
The transverse seal is not good on one side
Make sure the jaws are parallel to each other if not proceed as follows:
a) Turn the jaws so that they are closed on each other.
b) Disconnect the main electrical supply.
c) Open the back guard of the machine.
d) Loosen the two bolts and grub screw of the upper gear.
e) Close the jaws so that they match evenly.
f) Tighten the two bolts and grub screw loosened previously.
g) Adjust the play between the two gears if necessary.
h) Make sure the bolts and grub screw are fastened firmly.
Jaw pressure is no good
To control that the pressure is good, pass a thin piece of paper folded in two through the
jaws, turn the jaws manually when doing this.
If the curves are not equal the following adjustments are to be carried out:
If the sealing pattern is longitudinal, loosen the two bolts that fasten the upper jaw, and
move it until the sealing curves fit perfectly on in each other.
If the sealing pattern is transverse, loosen the two bolts and the grub screw on the jaw
gear flange (placed on the back of the machine), and turn the upper gear until the
sealing curve fit perfectly on in each other.
ATTENTION
The above operations are to be carried out only by specialized personnel
responsible of the maintenance of the machine.
The knife does not cut on its entire length
If the knife does not cut on its entire length then proceed as follows:
a) Lift the jaw temperature of a couple of degrees.
b) If this is not sufficient, then adjust the knife Chapter 7.
c) If the knife still does not cut it may be necessary to replace the existing knife with a new
one or you can have the knife sharpened.
