The two adjustments explained allow you to obtain a correct folding of the wrapping
material during the passage through the two rollers and on the forming box wings; to check
the folds, insert the wrapping material and thread it through all the rollers in the correct
manner, insert the film in between the two fin wheels and produce some empty bags, make
sure the fold (Fig. 6.11 pos.1), are neat and without crinkles.
Now verify that the wrapping material runs through the two rollers without crinkles, also the
two flaps (Fig. 6.11 pos.2) formed just above the forming box wings must be semi-
tensioned. The correct adjustment is obtained by trial and error. The position of the rollers
in respect to the forming box wings is normally just above the begging of the wings, if you
push the rollers back towards the infeed conveyor the crinkles will be more evident.
This
adjustment is important, and if not done correctly can compromise the efficient flow of the
film.
The packaging machine is equipped with a shaping tunnel composed of a trainer fixed /
adjustable, which allows to adjust according to the size of the product.
