ATTENTION The fin wheels are equipped with two and four slip rings with
associated brush holders, and brushes that transmit electricity to the heaters. A
resistance and the thermocouple are connected to the four track slip ring. The
wires of the heaters are to be connected to the two upper terminals (opposite to
the terminals Fig. 7.6 pos. 6 and 7). The thermocouple red wire (positive) is to be
connected to the last terminal (lowest). This can be verified by using a tester and
measuring the Ohms after disconnecting all the slip ring wires and insulating the
brush slip ring tracks (by putting for instance, a piece of paper between the
contacts).

To replace the thermocouple proceed as follows:
1) Carry out the same procedure to remove the resistance of the fin wheels as explained
previously,
2) Remove the two wires of the thermocouple (terminals) connected to the slip ring, by
loosening the two 7 mm. nuts.
3) The thermocouple wires is found on the 4 track slip ring). The thermocouple wires are
thinner than the resistance wires and are of two colours red & blue.
4) Remove the broken thermocouple and replace with a new one, carry out the above
operation in the inverse way.
