Manuale Lyra 600 sx elettr eng
a) Move the upper jaw by loosening slightly loosening the bolts that keep it fastened, now
position them so that the teeth are aligned once against each other in an equal
manner. Now re-block the bolts. Manually rotate the jaws to make sure that they do
not touch one with each other. Pay careful attention to this point, because if the jaws
do touch one against each other they can wear and tear with ease and consequently
cause serious damage.
b) Take a piece of film approximately 500 mm. long and fold it in two, place it between
the jaws and rotate them manually at a speed more or less equivalent to the speed of
the jaws during normal working conditions, check the seal and act accordingly on the
temperature or pressure until the seal is as desired.
Sealing pressure adjustment
For example:
– if the seal tends to open increase the temperature. (5° at a time)
– if the film tends to shrink under the excessive heat lower the temperature (5° at a
time)
– if the sealing pattern (humps) are only fairly visible, apply more pressure to the
jaws, if the sealing pattern (humps) are profound and contain cuts proceed as
follows to reduce the pressure of the jaws:
a) Disconnect the electrical supply to the machine.
b) Loosen the back guard of the transverse sealing jaw assembly.
c) Loosen the 4 bolts
(
Fig.8.2.4
pos. 1) of the upper jaw gear placed in the internal part
of the machine.
d) Re-connect the electrical supply to the machine and wait for the sealing jaws to reach
the imposed temperature.
ATTENTION The slip rings of the sealing jaw assembly will have electrical
supply to them, it is therefore necessary to pay careful attention not to touch
them with your hands or arms.
e) To apply more sealing pressure, loosen the two counter nuts
(
Fig.8.2.3
pos. 3), with a
17 spanner, fasten (1/4 of a turn) the register nuts
Fig.8.2.3
pos. 1. Pay attention
to adjust in an equal manner the two the two nuts
Fig.8.2.3
pos. 1.
f) Adjust the jaws without allowing them to touch each other excessively, this to
avoid wear and tear.
g) Block the counter nuts
(
Fig.8.2.3
pos. 3)
h) Repeat the operation described in c-d-e-f-g until the desired seal is obtained.
ATTENTION It is very important that the teeth of the jaws never touch
each other on there tips, this in order to avoid serious damage.
i) Block the 4 bolts
(Fig.8.2.4
pos.1) of the upper jaw gear, during this operation make
sure you eliminate the play between the upper and lower gear. The play is eliminated
by turning the external half of the gear clockwise.
j) Close the jaws one against each other and make sure the upper jaw is in line with the
lower jaw
(Fig.8.1.1)
If this is not the case, loosen the two screws and grub screw
placed on the upper jaw flange
(Fig.8.2.4
pos.2 & pos. 3), now you can move the upper
jaw until it is in line with the lower jaw.
K) Disconnect the electrical supply from the machine.
l) Re-block the two bolts and the grub screw on the upper jaw.
m)
Re-assemble the back guard of the transverse sealing jaw assembly, and connect the
electrical supply to the machine
