Introduction Manual ENC66

6.5 Loading of a file with machine constants into the controller
Please note that the number of parameters in the file of the machine constants has to cor-
respond with the number of max. axes (16) in the operating system of the controller.
When loading the file of the machine constants into the controller, the following three pos-
sibilities may occur:
Number of parameters in the file is equal to the max. number in the operating sys-
tem --> The file parameters overwrite the machine constants stored in the controller
Number of parameters in the file is greater than the max. number in the operating
system --> The file parameters overwrite the machine constants stored in the con
-
troller up to the max. number. An error message is generated for each file parame-
ter not accepted
Number of parameters in the file is less than the max. number in the operating sys-
tem --> The file parameters overwrite the machine constants stored in the controller.
The missing machine constants are completed up to the max. number by the entries
already available in the controller.
x
Note
If the controller is in error state (display in the StdHMI in operating mode SETUP:
„NCR: FAULT“), the loaded machine constants are not accepted by the controller.
Only in state „Idle“ of the controller (display in the StdHMI in operating mode SETUP:
„NCR: IDLE“), the machine constants become active.
The error state of the controller is to be reset by the elimination of the error cause
and by the acknowledging of the error, in order to accept the new machine constants
correctly.
