Note: When you configure installable options manually, make sure to leave Two-Way Communication and Update
Fiery Driver When Opened options unchecked.

Note: The User Account Control (UAC) feature is available on computers with the Windows operating systems
supported by the Fiery ES. You must log on with Administrator privileges to add or change the installable options
after the printer driver is installed. For more information about supported operating systems, see Configuration and
Setup.

Navigate to the devices and printers on your network.
The printers are displayed in the Devices and Printers (or Printers and Faxes or Printers) folder.
2 For Windows computers with User Account Control, right-click the Fiery ES icon, select Run as administrator,
and then select Printer properties or Properties.
The User Account Control dialog box opens.
3 Select the User that has administrator privileges, type the password, and then click OK.
4 Right-click the Fiery ES icon and choose Printer properties or Properties.
5 Click the Installable Options tab and make your selections.
6 Click Apply, and then click OK.
You must click OK for the printer driver to reflect the correct installable options.
Configure installable options for printer drivers installed with the Add Printer Wizard on Windows
client computers
After you install the printer driver, you must configure the installable options.
If you install the printer driver from Add Printer Wizard and then use Two-Way Communication to configure the
installable options, the installable options are not configured properly.
1 After you install the printer driver, right-click the Fiery ES icon, select Printer properties, click the Installable
Options tab, and then select your installable options.
2 Click Apply, and then click OK.
You must click OK for the printer driver to reflect the correct installable options.
Printing from Windows client computers
You can print to the Fiery ES just as you would print to any other printer from a Windows application.
You can print from a networked Windows computer or a computer using Windows (WINS) printing. Select the
Fiery ES as the current printer in the Printer Name list, specify print options, and then print the document from the
application.
