Configuring the ECU Interface
If hardware is connected directly to the ECU interface, the internal switch of
ES910.3-A must be configured with the "L2 Bridge on" setting. If an external
switch is connected to the ECU interface, the internal switch of ES910.3-A must
be configured with the "L2 Bridge off" setting. For additional notes about oper-
ating the ECU interface, see chapter 4.12.1 on page 37
To configure the internal switch:
•On the Ethernet Configuration page, select the
L2 Bridge on setting.
The Ethernet interfaces "PC" and "ECU" of the
module are connected with each other via the inter-
nal (software) switch of ES910.3-A.
The ECU interface is configured for operation with
directly connected hardware (without external
switch).

•On the Ethernet Configuration page, select the
L2 Bridge off setting.
The connection between the Ethernet interfaces
"PC" and "ECU" of the module is disconnected via
the internal (software) switch of ES910.3-A.
The ECU interface is configured for operation with
an external switch.
• Click on Save Config.
The configuration of the ECU interface is being
saved.
In the delivery state, the ECU interface of ES910.3-A is configured for opera-
tion with an external switch ("L2 Bridge off" setting on the web interface of the
module).
After changing a configuration on the web interface of ES910.3-A, the module
has to be restarted!
