6 Troubleshooting Problems
This chapter gives some information of what you can do when problems arise
with the ES910.3-A and problems that are not specific to an individual software
or hardware product.
6.1 Troubleshooting ES910.3-A Problems
Please observe the LEDs which provide information on the functions of the inter-
face and the ES910.3-A (see the chapter "Indicators" on page 21) to be able to
judge the operational state of the ES910.3-A as well as troubleshooting mea-
sures.
The following table lists some of the possible problems with a remedy.
If you have any further questions, please contact our Customer Support (see
chapter 10 on page 110).
Problem Diagnostic Questions Possible Solutions
The ETK interface is not
initialized.
Which ETK is connected? Check whether the con-
nected ETK is supported
(see chapter 7.7.6).
The ES910.3-A is not
found with "Search for
Hardware" in INCA.
Have you installed the
INCA Add-On ES9xx?
Check that at least INCA
V6.2.1 with hotfix 7 and,
in addition, INCA Add-On
ES9xx V6.2.1 or higher
have been installed.
Is the hardware on the PC
connected with the
CBE200 cable?
Check that the connec-
tion is undamaged.
Is the CBE200 cable con-
nected on the correct
interface of the ES910.3-
A?
Check that the CBE200
cable is connected with
the PC interface (PC) and
not by mistake with the
neighboring ECU inter-
face (ECU).
Is the CBE230 cable con-
nected on the correct
interface of the ES910.3-
A?
Check that the CBE230
cable is connected with
the ECU interface (ECU)
and not by mistake with
the neighboring PC inter-
face (PC).
