ES910.3-A - User’s Guide 66
ETAS Troubleshooting Problems
A XETK connected
directly to the ECU inter-
face or a directly con-
nected ECU is not found
in INCA using "Search for
Hardware".
Is the internal switch of
ES910.3-A connected?
On the web interface of
ES910.3-A, check the set-
ting of the internal switch
(see chapter 5.6.6
on page 63). In this appli-
cation, the internal switch
of ES910.3-A must be
configured with "L2
Bridge on" (see chapter
4.12.1 on page 37).
Data is lost during data
transfer.
Are you using WLAN in
your test setup?
WLAN is not permissible
within this ETAS network.
Wire your test setup
(ETAS modules and their
connection to the PC)
with ETAS cables only.
Are you using the correct
type of network card in
your laptop?
Check whether you are
using a PCMCIA network
card in your laptop. PCM-
CIA cards with an 8- or
16-bit data bus are not
suitable. Only use PCM-
CIA cards with a 32-bit
data bus, mini-PCI or
ExpressCards.
Are you using an external
switch at the ECU inter-
face in your measuring
setup?
On the web interface of
ES910.3-A, check the set-
ting of the internal switch
(see chapter 5.6.6
on page 63). In this appli-
cation, the internal switch
of ES910.3-A must be
configured with "L2
Bridge off" (see chapter
4.12.1 on page 37).
Are you using an ES930.1
in event mode in your
measuring setup?
Check whether the error
bit for the overload case
of ES910.3-A is set at the
IO interface. For notes
about exiting the over-
load case, see chapter
4.11.5 on page 36.
