7.1.2 Configuration Commands
7.1.2.1 ip dvmrp
This command sets administrative mode of DVMRP in the router to active. IGMP must be
enabled before DVMRP can be enabled.
Syntax
ip dvmrp
no ip dvmrp
no - This command sets administrative mode of DVMRP in the router to inactive. IGMP must be
enabled before DVMRP can be enabled.

7.1.2.2 ip dvmrp metric
This command configures the metric for an interface. This value is used in the DVMRP
messages as the cost to reach this network.
Syntax
ip dvmrp metric <value>
no ip dvmrp metric <value>
<value> - This field has a range of 1 to 63.
no - This command resets the metric for an interface to the default value. This value is used in the
DVMRP messages as the cost to reach this network.
