Adjusting ths recording level
7 Raise the Master tadare UR to 74.
8 Set the SELECTOR to the monitor section to “MON."
9 Press the RECORO button once. (The RECORD LED will bink.)
The melted track (Track 1) enters input monitoring status.
That is. the electric guitar signal sent to Track 1 a "throughput'' to Track 1 output.
10 Raise the INPUT fader to 74, and check the recording level on the level meter 1
while playing the electric guitar.
Adjust the INPUT fader so that the meter approaches level "0* at a peak volume (and
*01 * Hill not be lit). If the ievei is too low. set the LEVEL switch to - M (- 30dBV )."
tf you ha\T connected a microphone or other km- output sound source, instead of a
line-output source such as an electric guitar. you may want to set the LEVEL switch to
the % (-SOdBVr position.

Monitoring the recording signal
11 Turn Channel 1 MON knob toward "TRK" and raise the MASTER knob setting in the
monitor section. Use the MON PAN knob to edjuet the stereo image.
12 Adjust ths equalizer, If necessary.
If adjusting the equalizer has changed the level and the m OL m Indication on the meter
lights up. lower the INPirT fader

Start recording
13. Press the RECORD button while pressing and holding down the PLAY button.
The blinking RECORD LED and track indication "I * will light up, indicating that the
recorder section has entered recording mode. (The recording track. Track 1 In this
example, is always m input monitoring status.)
Finish recording
You can record for about 12 minutes (when mstalling the 540MB hard disk
unit) or 30 minutes (when Installing the 1.3GB hard disk unit).
14 To end recording, press the STOP button.
At the same time, the input monitoring status will be cancelled, and the recorder will
enter playback monitoring status. fThe RECORD LED will go off.)
