Step 2: Overdubbing an electric baas to Track 2

Now. wt are going to overdub. Assume that you have recorded the drum mac him 1
to Track 1 in monaural, and we are recording the haw to Track 2 while monitoring
the drum sound.
Connecting the sound source
I. Connect the electric beet to any available INPUT Jack. (In tois tutorial, we conned It to
INPUT jack 1.)
If you connect the bass to Channel I or 2. set the LEVTL switch to the m H f-IOdBV) 0
position, as we did In the basic recording.
Switch / control settings
2 Set the MPUT SCL swllch of Channel 1 which Is connected lo the electric bast to "INPUT.”
3 . Tum the PAN control of the electric bees Channel 1 ell the wey to "R."
4 Press the RECORD TRACK select key "2/R" lo "reedy* Track 2.
5 Set the SELECTOR in the monitor section to "MON.*
Adjusting the recording level
6 Raise the Master faders L/R lo "74.*
7 Press the RECORD button once. (The RECORD LED will bink.)
The readied Track T enters input monitoring status.
