This section explains how to perform ping-pong recording. It also describes the
MIDI Clock synchronisation system, the MTC sync/machine control system, and
recording in DMT-8vfs slave mode, using the DMT-8vi_ MIDI functions. It also
covers how to use only the recorder section of the PMT-8 vl
1. Ping-pong recording
Ping-pong recording enables you to combine multiple recorded tracks and copy
them to an empty track. You can then overdub additional sounds onto the
previously-recorded tracks, adding instruments or other musical parts to your
recording.
